I Was banded on March 30, 2009 with a astonishing weight of 299.5.
My name is Mary, I am 23 years old with a 3 year old daughter.
I have been overweight my whole life, I was always been the biggest in my class when I was in school and have always been embarrassed about it.
About a year ago I started to get all of the information about the lap band procedure and all the documentation that was needed to have it done, 6months supervised weight loss, 5 years medical records showing I've been over 43BMI for that long, and I had to visit the bariatric Psychologist, Nutritionist, I also had to go to classes on how to properly eat after I had the procedure done. So after almost 1 year later I finally was able to get the surgery after my insurance approval!!!

Baby, I'm so proud of you. Here it is... what, a year and a half later, and you're running a half-marathon this morning. Ya little twig! Go skinny-girl go!! Run!!
