My Thanksgiving went well! I made most of the side dishes my new favorite side dish is this Spinach Dish I tweaked it a little by adding mushrooms and instead of munster cheese I used Vermont white sharp cheddar and let me tell you it was AMAZING!
I did have a little melt down though. I really wanted to try everything that was made and by the time I took a bite of half the stuff I had on my plate I was FULL, and I was so upset! but I got over it quickly and just took some home for leftovers and ate it for lunch today at work. We had a TON of food and this was my 1st big dinner with my band and I think the emotional eating part of me just got to me.
I went to spin class this morning to work off some of that pumpkin pie that I did eat later on that night and I weighed in at 190!!!! I LOST a pound!! I really really am thankful for my Band. Just thinking about last year when I ate 3rds and 4ths of everything I am really glad I have my tool there to remind me that I do not need to eat that much, that a half a plate is OK, and that I can always take it home for lunch the next day!
I hope all of you all had a Great Thanksgiving!!! its suppose to be COLLLLD tonight [lower 40's] and I realize that I don't have my 100lbs coat anymore and I have to actually bundle up or I freeze!
I wanted to share a picture of my Nieces and Nephew that I took while they were here from Tx for Thanksgiving, I Love them and miss them!! the one in the shirt with the bunny on it is my Niece Lily that just moved here to live with her grandparents.

Ahh what a beautiful pic of all the kids - cute bunch.. and it sounds like you had a rocking Thanksgiving Mary. Congrats on that new low! I'm chasing you.... sitting on about 193 pounds myself. Looking forward to getting where you are and blowing off that last three (and the rest lol)
I'm so thankful you got the lap band too! -- I just thought about how much you were eating just ONE year ago. Wow!! ... you've come so far! You're a TOTALLY different person with a totally different mindset, getting healthier day by day, physically and mentally!
I love you baby.
BTW when that turkey face appeared on my screen, I 'bout fell out of my chair laughing. That was cute!
(Wonderful picture of all the kids!)
Thanks for sharing the pictures. You are doing great. I wasnt so sad I couldnt eat a lot, but Thanksgiving has never been one of my favorite holidays. It was a bummer that I did all this cooking (for the first time) and I wasnt really cooking it for me! Ya know?
Losing after Thanksgiving dinner? That is awesome! Can't wait to catch up to you!
Mary,
That's so awesome about Thanksgiving! I wasn't able to eat like I did in previous years either. I was a little sad but gotta keep thinking about end goal! And 190?!?!? You're an animal!!
