soooo relieved....

Went to see Doctor Lord today TUESDAY....

I called him on Saturday and said I can't keep anything down even water. He said come in at 9 am on Monday and I will do an unfill for you. I get there with my daughter in tow and the door to their clinic is locked and the lights are out. They were closed for the Holiday. HOLY HELL! I had to then wait ANOTHER day of this Hell I am in and possible dehydration. I was Mad....

So today I get there EARLY 8am Im sitting in the waiting room, they weigh me and im down to 174!!!! thats 5lbs ive lost in 3 days NOT GOOD But GOOD....the Nurse comes and tells me He's in Surgery with another paitent and wont be able to get down here until 10....

:::sigh:::

so Im very paitent, I wait in the waiting room for about 1hour an 45minutes and then he comes and takes .25cc's out of my band and PHEWWWW do I feel better! I CAN DRINK FLUIDS AGAIN!!! Im not sure about how I will do with solids because im on liquids till friday. I feel sooo sooo sooo much better.

I cannot describe the pain I was in when I took a sip of water or liquids it felt like the liquids were stuck every time and it would take like 30 minutes of what seemed like an insta-headache and an elephant sitting on my chest to go away all for a sip SIP SMALL SIP of water. it was NOT FUN. I dont know why it happend my last fill was on November 10th, Dr. Lord said that it may have been irritated by something I ate and then PB'ed....NOW He says EVERY TIME you PB you are suppose to go on a liquid diet for 24 hours because you have irritated your band....

Well thats it for my not so fun weekend I am glad it is over, I will keep you updated with how solids go on Friday!!!

I've heard that when you're near your sweet spot that a tiny fill/unfll can make a GIANT different. Sounds like a big pain in the butt but I'm so glad you're feeling better!

That is good advice: 24 hours liquid diet after a PB or the thought that you have irritated your band.. gosh we are very fragile creatures when you think about it!!
Glad you are feeling so much better.

I am so glad that you FINALLY got some relief!! I just can't believe that the Doctor would make you wait so long just to do a slight unfill.

That is something that us baby bandster's should try to remember. When we have a PB, keep to a liquid diet for 24 hrs until the irritation is down.

Holy cow - just that tiny bit out made such a difference? Bit freaky to think how easy it is for the docs to overshoot the mark to an overfill. I guess they are semi-guessing as much as we are with how things are. So glad you're feeling better - that sounded like NO FUN at all!!

Hey, Glad to hear your doing better! I never realised that so little amoutn of fluid could make such a difference!
Very good to hear that after a PB should do a full liquid diet! Will definatly keep that in mind and in force.

Glad you were able to get some fluid pulled out! I haven't seen a doctor since last april, but I think after we have a baby I'll get back on the ball with fills.
